Being in K-2 status, you have the right to:
is constantly in the United States with your family, while awaiting the marriage of your parent with K-1 status;
apply for a Work Permit using USCIS Form I-765;
to study in the U.S. While in K-2 status, you cannot:
change your status to any other;
come to the US if you have previously violated US immigration laws. You have the right to stay in the United States for 90 days from the date of arrival. It is during this period that your parent must marry an American citizen. Otherwise, you must leave the United States within 30 days.

Form DS-160 – Application for a Nonimmigrant Visa in duplicate with two recent color photographs on a white background;
a copy of your Birth Certificate;
Form I-134 document – Proof of Support from your sponsor;
medical report;
