You can obtain a US Visitor Visa for business or leisure travel from the US Consulate. The US visitor visa B1 / B2 gives permission to temporarily stay in the United States for business [B-1 visa] or as a tourist [B-2 visa]. Arriving on a visitor visa, you must leave the United States before the expiration of your B1 / B2 visitor status.
The US B-1 business visa allows you to:
meet with partners;
go to conferences;
attend trade shows;
negotiate contracts;
develop business cooperation;
perform most of the financial transactions;
sell, buy or invest in the United States;
engage in other financial and commercial activities that do not involve employment in the United States and are paid for by a foreign employer.
The US B-2 Tourist Visa allows you to:
make tourist trips;
take a vacation in the United States;
visit friends and family members living in the United States;
take part in various mass events;
receive medical care in the United States;
engage in other non-business activities. A US visitor visa can be issued for a period of one month to 10 years. This does not mean that you have the right to stay in the United States for the entire duration of your visa. Upon arrival in America, you will be given a Form I-94, which will indicate the length of your stay in the United States, usually 3 to 6 months, which allows you to stay in the United States even if your visa has expired.
Your US nonimmigrant visa must contain information about how many times you can enter the United States on this visa – one entry or several.
If your visa has not expired and your passport becomes invalid, you can still use it when entering America with a new passport.
