Family Visa USA L-2. Family of the Holder of The L-1 Visa

Family Visa USA L-2. Purpose:
for the husband, wife of an L-1 visa holder who wishes to accompany him (her) to the United States;
for children of an L-1 visa holder under the age of 21.

Family Visa USA L-2. Advantages:

While in L-2 status, you can:

is permanently in the United States for the entire period of stay of the L-1 visa holder;
work with a USCIS Work Permit. Your Work Permit is valid for two years and can be renewed as long as you continue to maintain proper L-2 condition .;
study in the USA;
travel within and outside the U.S. Important! Children under the age of 21 cannot work in the United States while in L-2 status.

Family Visa USA L-2. Documents for registration

To apply for an L-2 visa, you must provide:

a clean copy of a visa application along with a draft version;
valid international passport;
two recent color photographs;
original marriage certificate;
four – five photographs of your wedding, where the bride and groom must be present – these are the conditions for spouses applying for an L-2 visa;
a copy of the L-1 visa for your parent or spouse;
confirmation of parent or spouse employment verification; Important! If your spouse acquires L-1 status, you can change your status, for example, from H-4 to L-2 status. To obtain a Work Permit, you must provide Form I-765 – Application for Employment Permit, along with your Form I-539, Application for Change or Renewal of Status.
