Student Visa – Visa M-2

US Family Visa M-2 – Purpose:

For spouses and children of an M-1 status holder who wish to accompany him in the United States, or visit him during his studies in the states.

US Family Visa M-2 – Benefits:

You can:

 

is permanently in the USA with your family;
travel freely within and outside the United States on short trips;
attend high school and vocational schools, and your children also have a kindergarten in the United States.
But, you cannot:
apply for a job in the United States;
study at US Universities;
stay in the United States longer than your M-1 visa holder.

US family visa M-2. Documents and registration:

Documents for the M-2 visa must be submitted together with the documents for the M-1 visa. These documents include:

Certificate of Enrollment (Form I-20A-B) regarding an applicant for an M-1 visa;
Form DS-160 – Application for a Nonimmigrant Visa;
a copy of a passport that is valid for at least six months outside the period of stay in the United States and with at least one blank page;
one recent photograph (37 x 37mm) of each applicant fully showing the face. The photo should be taken against a light background and without a headgear;
a copy of the Marriage Certificate for the dependent spouse (s);
a copy of the birth certificate of children under the age of 21;
photographs of your wedding or wedding invitations;
proof of sufficient funds to support you;
proof that you will leave the United States when your M-1 visa training is completed.
