US Work Visa H-3. Trainees Aiming to Learn from Work

The US H-3 Work Visa is a nonimmigrant work visa that allows foreign nationals to come to the United States to improve their qualifications with a US company. However, you cannot come for a specialization or medical training program, and this type of training should not be conducted in your home country.

US Work Visa H-3. Appointment

 

for foreign nationals wishing to get an internship that is not available in their country
for foreign nationals as exchange visitors coming to internship in an American company;
for multinational companies to send their foreign employees to the United States for on-the-job training. To qualify for an H-3 visa, you must come to the United States to intern in an area such as commerce, agriculture, government, agricultural finance, or industrial finance …

You must prove that:

You are not going to undertake a medical internship in the United States;
you do not have the opportunity to get such an internship in your country;
You need this education to make a career outside of the United States;
You will not be hired if it is not necessary for training;
the training offered is not available to US citizens and workers with a Green Card.

US Work Visa H-3. Advantages

Being in the H-3 status, you have the right to:

temporarily come to the United States to improve your professionalism;
Your family can stay with you in the United States by applying for an H-4 visa. She can also go to school but cannot work;
You are free to travel within and outside the United States as long as your H-3 visa is valid.

US Work Visa H-3 Requirements and Documents
Requirements.

To obtain an H-3 visa, it is necessary that the American employer, no later than six months before the start of the program, apply for a work visa (Form I-129) at the regional office of the American Immigration Center located near the proposed internship location.

Also, with the Application, you must provide:

a description of the training program, staffing, facilities, classroom hours per week, and on-the-job training hours per week;
details of the trainee’s participation in the program;
details of compensation for each trainee;
the reasons why the intern is receiving an internship;

Documents for Registration

To apply for an H-3 visa, you must provide an original or a copy of an Employment Authorization. Form I-797A or B (authorization sent to your employer when the petition is approved).

Your visa application must include the following documents:

Form DS-160 – Application for a Nonimmigrant Visa;
a copy of a passport that is valid for at least six months outside the period of stay in the United States and with at least one blank page;
two identical color photographs on a light background showing the entire face without head covering. You can wear a headdress if required by the religious community of which you are a member;
documents showing your strong ties in your homeland, obliging you to return at the end of the program.

US Work Visa H-3. duration of stay
the trainee can be issued an n-3 visa for a period of two years;
a participant in a special training program can be in the H-3 status for 18 months. Visa for family members of an H-3 visa holder.
A spouse and / or children under the age of 21 who wish to accompany you to the United States during your stay can apply for an H-4 visa.
